Audible Start Timer     de K4BRI

To start the timer, turn the volume knob, from the off position, clockwise. The first start happens immediately, with a single start tone, and the next cycle will start. If you have selected a cycle time of more than one minute, the timer will display the number of remaining minutes to the next start at one minute intervals, and sound a low pitched buzz. 10 seconds before the next start, the display will count down the remaining seconds to the next start, and if you have selected to have preceding beeps, they will sound with a lower pitch as well. At 0, the start tone sounds again and the cycle starts over again.

If you wish to change the start time, or restart the cycle at any time, press the red Reset button on the top of the timer.

The volume of the internal speaker can be controlled by the volume knob, however, it will have no effect on the audio level at the PA jack.

If you wish to change the cycle time, or the number of beeps preceding the start tone, press and hold the black Program button on the top of the unit. Once in the program mode, the number of minutes in a cycle will flash slowly on the display. Pressing the red Reset button will advance the number displayed. You may set the cycle to be 1-0 for 1-10 minutes, H for 30 second starts, and C for custom interval. Once the desired cycle time is displayed, press and hold the black Program button again. You will then see the number of beeps preceding the start tone displayed in the fast flash. Use the red Reset button to select the desired number of beeps preceding the start tone, then press and hold the black Program button to exit the program mode.

Once you change the settings of the timer, the number of minutes in a cycle and the beep count will be stored, and will be used the next time you turn the timer on. If you wish to reset the unit back to original values (1 minute cycle, 4 beeps) simply press and hold the program button while turning the unit on.

While in the program mode, the current cycle will still be running and starts will occur according to the selected times.

The timer is powered by a 9v square battery. To access the battery area, remove the four screws at each corner of the timer and move the top cover aside. The battery area and connecting clip will be near the bottom of the unit.
