Bar Coding

ExtraFleet comes equipped with the ability to print equipment ID bar codes along with bar coded parts tags and bin labels.  This feature supports the use of the handheld ShirtPocket WorkStations for work order processing, remote fueling and on shelf inventory counting.

The bar code labels may be printed on standard sheet feed labels using a desktop laser printer, or a specialized bar code label printer can be used.  If you will be using an existing special bar code printer it will be important to ensure that up to date print drivers are available.  If you will be purchasing a new bar code printer please call us in advance with the manufacturer and model so we can ensure compatibility.

In addition to the printing capabilities we offer, ExtraFleet also provides complete UPC cross referencing within the parts file.  This allows you to scan a manufacturer provided UPC code that will be accurately recognized by ExtraFleet.
